This week has been insane. I.N.S.A.N.E!!!
I got into a class to get certified as a lactation counselor. Work was paying for the class AND paying me to take the class, win, win! Monday-Friday 8-5 type class. Study. And a test on Friday afternoon. 110% reinforced to me that going back to school (at least now) for me is a definate NO!! I think I've gotten adult onset ADD. Could.Not.Sit.Still!! Learned some cool things! Things I wish I would have known 3.5 years ago when I had my kids!
Well the weeknd leading up to this busy week ended with he kids & I getting sick. Respiratory crud. Had I just been working Monday, I would have called in sick, but I could.not.miss.this.class! If you miss more than 15 mins of the 5 day class, you have to retake it. I literally took a whole box of tisse with me to class & set a bottle of hand sanitizer on the table by me. Then Hayden got some GI bug. Then there was a snow day. Then Livi & I got the GI bug. Jeff had one day of awful headache, sweaty aches. Bla, bla. Flu. I spent Wednesday night sick, helping Livi get sick.... then got up & went to class Thursday as if nothing had ever happened. Craziest thing I have evern done. Again, had I been working, I would have most definately called in sick. Thankfully my friend Kerry was awesome enough to bring over some sick house supplies to them at home while I was in class, we were just so in over our heads by that point!
Jeff had to be the stay home parent since I had this class. Throw in a snow day & he only worked 2 days this week! The kids still have some sinus stuff & completly randomly will throw up. I was about ready to throw in the towel with this sickness..... but I've decided that they have some thick phlegm in their throats that they don't know how to clear. So they puke to clear it out. Disgusting. But I guess logical if you don't know what else to do. But otherwise, they are back to themselves.
On a totally random note... they are just so grown up. Each Hayd & Liv had their first puke of their GI bug that we had to clean up, but every one after that they got either in the toilet or in a bedside bowl. Not that the GI flu is ever fun, but it sure made things easier on us than the past few years. I kept telling them I was so proud of them... is that weird?
I took my test Friday afternoon.... and will find out in 6-8 weeks if I can add the letters CLC to the end of my name.
The week ended much better. Jeffs car was fixed, much earlier than anticipated. So we got to pick it up Friday. And say a few more "Thank you God's" that insurance was paying, because the bill was almost twice what we were quoted. Insurance honestly should have probably totalled out our car, it was that expensive. So, so thankful for our $500 deductable!!! We made a quick trip back to Jeff's parents Friday night to return their vehicle that they were so awesome to loan us for the past few weeks.
Then we had an AWESOME Saturday morning!!
When I was pregnant & shortly there after, I met 2 pretty amazing women. We all had 2 boys & 1 girl, all born in that 30-32 week range, & all within like 5 weeks of eachother. We talked at least daily in those early weeks & months. Having triplets is such a different experience, I was so blessed to have them to vent to, lean on, compare notes with, etc. Well 3.5 years later, I got to meet one of them for the first time in person! It was just a completely random, not really planned ahead of time, get together. But it worked out so perfect. We got home late Friday night, so we got up late Saturday, so our visit was pretty short & sweet... but it was pretty cool! We met up at the Childrens Museum for a few hours & had a blast!

What it was really like trying to get this picture....
Elevator ride! Insane that all these kids came from just 2 mamas & just 2 pregnancies!
Maybe she will grow up to be a gymnist?
What a great time! And just the way I needed to end this week!
