4 year pictures

On a very cold day in November, we did the kids' 4 year pictures.  Despite the nice weather we had lots of November weekends, this one was COLD!  We did some indoor & a braved a few outdoor.  Here are my favorites of our 4 year olds, as captured by Marty Shepard Photography.  Thanks Marty!!

Hayden Thomas, age 4

Olivia Paige, age 4

Logan Daniel, age 4

Our 4 year olds!

Just for fun... when I upload pictures into Picasa to put on my blog, sometimes it ties similar ones together into a "movie."  Isn't this funny??!!

Our Family, 2013

What the day REALLY looked like.
And Picasa having more fun with my pictures.

I think this is my favorite.

I always see people doing Photo Challenges on Facebook & on Blogs.  But I've never done one.
As I sat down today to blog, I realized how poor I was the last month or so at taking pictures.  So I'm going to try my first Photo Challenge & attempt to Capture December.

I'm starting late, so here's me catching up:

The wonderful thing about blogging & online social groups is that you get to meet lots of very cool people.  I've met several triplet mamas who helped me survive those early days.  And several other multiples mamas who I look up to & adore.

Jenny and her blog at The Fisch Tank is one of them.  Seriously if you are looking for a place to go to find inspiration on enjoying & embracing life for what it is, for finding the positive side of life & just simply a cool family... you will find it here.

In the spirit of Holiday Cheer Click HERE!  to vote for Cici & Jenny & the Fischer family.  I think you can vote every day.

While your at it, check out her blog.  It will leave you in the true holiday spirit, I promise.

I don't feel like we have been that busy, but maybe we have.  Its December 9th & I have yet to post any blog for December!!  Since we left you....

We traveled a few places to celebrate Thanksgiving & remember all we have to be thankful for.
(and I embraced the moments & didn't take many pictures)

Jeff turned 32.

I am several weeks into orientation at my new job.  I'm back at a Level 3 NICU & loving it.  There is a slight possibility that I might actually get to roll into a day position soon after orientation, but I'm prepping mentally for heading back to the life of the night shift when orientation is done mid-January.

The kids are in a very trying phase.  They have SOOOOO incredibly much energy & I'm not sure where it comes from.  Bedtime is getting later.  Mornings are getting earlier.  Naps have become hit or miss.  And we're just not real sure how to remedy all this chaos the limited sleep & massive energy is causing.

Here are some pictures I've managed to get in the midst of all the wild.

A trip to the zoo with our new friend Koen.

We found Olivia in bed with Logan...
Twice we've found the boys co-bedding.
Glad they love each other.... most of the time.
{And yes, he always sweats like that in his sleep}

Hayden is more or less overnight potty trained.  He has a wet morning pull-up maybe once a week, or once every 2 weeks.  But pretty darn good!  He gets up overnight to pee, prefers to use our master bathroom & then has a hard time crawling back into his own bed.

I find him curled up like a puppy at the foot of our bed a lot.
One night he couldn't find a place to fit I guess, so opted for the floor.  And made his way UNDER our bed!

Their playing is getting so creative...

A multiples mama in the making :)
Or maybe its getting scary?  Should I be concerned about this?

They still talk about Halloween (& eat too much candy) every day.  But we are working on our Christmas Lists!
Went to visit daddy's work so he could use a tool to cut something for a project mommy has lined up for him :)  Can you imagine them in Kindergarten!!!  In little desks!  NO!!!
Afterwards, we went out for lunch at Godfathers & got some awesome 'toys' from the quarter machine!

One afternoon Olivia got mad at Logan because he wasn't helping clean up.  So she pushed him.  And the bookshelf just happened to catch his fall.  I can not believe the skin didn't tear further & we escaped this sans stitches!
Later in the afternoon as the head swelling started to go down, his eyes looked like this!  It lasted about an hour, the fluid draining or something?  Who knows.  It was a rough day.
His biggest concern through the whole ordeal, this little scratch on his wrist!
You know it was a long day when the boys & I all managed to nap like this.

Always singing...

A lesson we are trying to learn at our house every single day.  Its more fun to learn it via song ;)

Always singing.....
(and yes I know her carseat chest clip is up too high, we're battling kids who think they know more than we do about carseat safety.)

This is hillarious!  They "read" all.the.time.  Green Eggs & Ham - by Hayden
(Please ignore Olivia & Logan fighting in the background at the end)

Thanksgiving with Analeigh... who doesn't.hold.still.

My Grandma became a Great Great Grandma.  Pretty cool!

I bought myself some Chocolate Peppermint coffee creamer & it snowed this week, so its starting to really feel like Christmas!  Only catch is the wind chill is -14 & its way to cold to send the kids out to burn off this energy!
