ENOUGH!

Lets recap:

5 weeks ago.  Everybody has a cold.  Hayden at pediatrician, looking awful.  AWFUL!  Fever.  Ear infection.  Antibiotics.  Continued talks of big tonsils.

1.5 weks ago.  Logan at pediatrician for goopy eyes after weeks of snot.  Ears ok.   Hum?

Last 4 weeks, kids sleep like poop.  Hayden wakes everyone up at crack of dawn.  Logan continues to have mildly goopy eyes (not red eyes, not pink eye!  I've got that one down.)

Past 4-5 days.  Hayden periodically tells us "I have puke in my mouth."  We spend days trying to figure out what the heck he means.  Hayden not throwing up.  Says he does not have "owies."  So confused.

Sunday.  Logan snot back in full force & drooling up a storm.

Tuesday.  3 kids with fevers.  100.  101.  And 102.7.
Pediatrician calls in Logan antibiotics based on recent eye goop & on & off runy nose, assuming ear infection.  Fevers gone in less than 24 hours.

Mom still not happy about Haydens complaints on going of "puke in mouth" & insists something is wrong.  Makes dad call in sick to work to take him to see the pediatrician.  (Can your husband do this!)

Wednesday.
Logan's ears look fine, but mama swears he's got a sinus infection or something.  Just based on his behavior, he is not 100% well.  So we'll continue above said course of Omnicef.

Pediatrician says about Hayden..."His tonsils are so huge I'm not sure how he has been swallowing!"

POOR BOY!!!  Thank you Hayden for telling us something was wrong!  And where to at least look.

Still not sure what those fevers were about, {other than a notice from God to pay a little more attention to what Hayden was saying!}

And thus begins yet another round of antibiotics for Hayden treating who knows what?  Not sure what made his tonsils swell from "big" to "HUGE" in the past 5 weeks.  But thus begins our journey down the trail of... how long do you want to bet it is before those suckers some out??  (And do you think I can get a 3 for 1 deal?  Its inevivitable, right?)

Plan is, if it doesn't get better, we'll be back soon.  (obviously!!)  And if he seems better, we'll wait & follow-up in a month.  If tonsils still monsterous then, its off to an ENT.   He snores.  He drools.  I'm not surprised, I've seen it coming.  I just don't want to drag it out over months of sickness, sleeplessness & missery.  I'm already collecting ENT recomendations (& non-recommendations)... so feel free to share!

So prayers for a successful path to healing (whatever that might mean)!
