School Open House

Yesterday was the kids' last "Miss Beth day."  We shall surely miss her.

Monday we start three new adventures in with Miss Sarah, Miss Starr & Miss Kiana.

We have been talking it up for 2 weeks & I think they have accepted the fact that this is happening.  They moved their stuff from their cubbies & their nap mats down with Miss Beth yesterday.  And we had an Open House in the evening, complete with bounce houses, face paint & cotton candy.  I was expecting to meet the teachers & maybe get a cookie, but they put on a real show!  We found all 3 classes.  Found all 3 cubbies.  All 3 bathrooms.  Got 3 folders with their "curriculum."  And met 3 teachers.

In the brief meeting with the teachers that we had, I think they will be a good fit.

Hayden has Miss Sarah.  Who seemed pretty mellow, yet a little more to the point, which he needs.
Logan has Miss Kiana.  Who spent a lot more time talking up the curriculum, which sounds like a classroom in which he will really learn.  He is very ready for that.
Olivia has Miss Starr.  Who seems the most tenderhearted.  We talked to her some & she did a great job trying to really interact & talk to Olivia while the boys were jumping in & answering all the questions & Olivia was peering shyly over her glasses.  Miss Starr did manage to get a yes nod from Olivia before we left, so there is hope.

We let them all know to expect some tears & a period of transition, so they should be prepared.  And we joked with the director that we just have to drop them off together in the gym each morning.  Splitting them up each day we will leave for them!

The kids all seemed pretty excited to find their own class.  Maybe it will go off without a hitch?  One can hope, right?

Pray for them next week.
