We still have snot, and a cough here or there. But I'm actually not talking about temperature fire. "Word" fire! Wednesday was kind of a crabby, lazy, cuddle on the couch kind of day. And its been quite educational for me of things Logan knows!
Logan is saying "bubble" very clearly. He has a screeching-whining type noise that he says a monkey says. Even pointed out a monkey to me at Target Thursday afternoon by screeching loudly. He knows a tiger says "arrrrrr." He can make a fish face (sometimes) for what a fish "says." During lunch Wednesday he was pointing at the fridge exclaiming "PAPA!!" And upon a closer look, there is a picture of my grandparents on the fridge. He's been calling the picture "papa" all day! But...Looney Toons was on in the evening & the little ole' grey hair granny was on & he pointed to her & again exclaimed "Papa!" So I guess that refers to any "grandpa" or "grandma" type figure right now.
Besides Grandma & Grandpa we have also been trying to work on aunts, uncles & cousin's names. We're not getting too far. We've been trying to say Addie.... which rather turns into "daddy." So we have been trying to emphasize the "A!" Today Livi has been trying. It sounds a little like her version of all done. But its somewhere between "AAaaah... duh" & "Aaaah... ye"
And speaking of our trip to Target. I don't think I can take these kids anywhere anymore. We left Target with some unplanned purchases Thursday. 3 new shirts & some Thomas the Train videos. Ok so the videos I wanted to buy at some point anyways. We picked up some Diaper Genie refills & as we walked past the kids clothes Logan was saying "choo-choo." I kept walking & it became Logan yelling "CHOO-CHOO!", trying to jump out of the cart & boarderline temper-tantrum about it all. Sure enough, there was a rack with a bunch of Thomas the Train shirts! They were long sleeve, & since its August I guess its time to start thinking about fall clothes anyways. So to avoid a temper tantrum....the boys are each now an owner of a Thomas the Train shirt. So I figured it wasn't fair to leave Livi out. So we walked around looking for something for her. Wasn't long before she was exclaiming "MELMO!" And again, sure enough there was a rack with Elmo shirts. So rather than some cutsie-pink-princess shirt, thats what she got. Are they old enough to pick out their own clothes??
