Father's Day fun on the Slip & Slide!

 Ha ha!!

 We had a little respiratory bug too, weird time of the year for it.

 No idea what I'm doing? 

 They can't figure out the whole dive & slide thing.  So Jeff spent hours "helping" them.  AKA they would lay down & he would push them & send them flying down the tarp. 

 Then they started spinning & doing 180s on their way down...

 So much fun!  We could do this every single day!

 Livi got in on some fun too.  Her cough was pretty crappy that day, so she sat out with me quite a bit.

Such a fun day!  They crashed pretty hard that night. 

Its a good thing we got Livi a big bed.  She is such a little mother.

Monday we went on a day trip to Grandma & Grandpa Maas'.  Grandpa Maas had back surgery last week so daddy went to help them mow & we did a little bit of cleaning.

Then this weekend.... our air conditioner stopped working.  Seesh!  We can't catch a break with appliances in this new house.  Thank God for our Service One Warranty.  We toughed it out for the weekend, thinking they would get to us 1st thing Monday.  Apparently they don't consider AC an emergency, so its an extra fee on weekends & after hours.  Monday came & they could get us in on..... Thursday.  So I called & asked them, "When are your office hours over?"  And she said why?  So I said... because I know when to call back to make someone get out here today.  Our kids can't keep living in a 90 degree house, some one's going to get sick.  So we paid an extra fee & they got out today, Monday.  Dang it to spend extra $ but it was worth it to me.  And we still paid less than 1/2 of what we would have paid to replace the part had we not had the warranty.  I'm just so glad it was a part he had on his truck & we didn't have to order something & wait a week to get it.  And I'm glad I worked the weekend.  I can't sleep in the heat & I was getting too too crabby.

 Slumber party in what was the coolest bedroom in the house Saturday night. 

Then a storm rolled in a 4am & we had to get up & scramble to get all the windows shut.  I was probably the worst nurse ever this weekend.  No sleep!

 

But with all this sun & rain... our garden is growing!!

 Our corn was growing... then we got a monsoon today!  Seriously 50-60 mile an hour winds & rain just out of no where.  No warning.  Our corn looks a little rough after.  Hope it stands back up.

 Carrots

 They were confused about where exactly the carrots were, so we snuck one out.  Washed the dirt off & shared it.  It was so, so yummy.  Makes me feel like a kid again eating itty bitty carrots straight from the garden.

These 2 were all about checking it out.  We might have a hard time getting them to keep their little picking fingers off.
