Boys' Closet

The boys' room has been done for quite some time, but yesterday while I was home on call & the kids were at school, I finally knocked out their closet!

First everything came out & the whole thing got a fresh coat of paint.  I used the same very pale grey that is in Olivia's room & closet.  I forgot to take any before pictures, but you probably wouldn't be able to notice the difference between pale grey & the tan that was there.  Really for me it wasn't about color, but to me it feels SOO much cleaner in there freshly painted!!  Its a walk in closet & it just needed freshened up.

Then I took the same checkerboard duck tape that I have used other places in their room & created an easy peasy border!
Then each side of the closet got a little personalization.
I found these at Walmart by the stencil paint & brushes.  Like a paint sharpie.  It was awesome!!
Cut out the stencil with my Cricut & just outlined the letters & colored them in.
On the left wall is all storage.
The bottom holds shoes, blankets, toys & the top 2 baskets have extra sheets, pillow cases, lovies, etc. for each of the boys.
The top has pull-ups, overnight diapers, wipes, more blankets & plastic bed liners.  All labeled with printed on paper cut out with my Cricut.
A few OLD red baskets were falling apart, so I wrapped them in the duck tape to get a little longer use out of them. The top middle basket is a diaper box done with wrapping paper & mod podge with a pillowcase lining it.  And the little middle one is a wipes box, covered with duck tape & a liner sewed from a pillow case.

And just because I found Superman & Batman Duck tape & this saying on Pinterest... I added some superheros into our Transportation theme.  "Sometimes being a Brother is even better than being a Superhero!"  I will put some pictures of the boys in those frames & have the Superman & Batman tape as a mat.
 A new light fixture.
It mimics their ceiling fan.  ALL the ceilings in our house will need painted someday, like a million years from now when I have time & $$ for that.  Their closet ceiling is splatter painted with green/blue glow in the dark paint & as we put up new light fixtures we have different color rings around all of our lights from the ceilings being painted once up on a time.
The right side is clothes & a few other things.  I bought 2 little 3 bin shelves to split up the space for two boys.  The top 3 bins are labeled Pull-ups, Hayden Overnights, Logan Overnights.  And the bottom 3 are Hayden Swimsuits, Logan Swimusits & Swim diapers (which we didn't use this year).  They can all easily be re-labeled & change as they grow.

 Shoes.
And banker's boxes labeled & decorated with duck tape to hold too big & too small clothes.
I'd like to find some sort of privacy film on that window eventually, & I have a red valance that I could hang up, maybe?  But otherwise it's done!  Yay!
