We ate well (& finally opened our gift bags from Jersey's 1st Birthday 1 1/2 weeks ago to celebrate our re-found health)
Got outside (despite the cold) for a brief breath of much needed fresh air.
{Trying to do a cartwheel like her mama}
We cleaned... I mean WE CLEANED!!!!!! Like I haven't done in, probably years.{Do you realize this boy was terrified of even seeing the vacuum just not long ago. Tuesday he VACCUMED. Pushed the thing, while it was on!! Insanity!}
They were amazing help!! I just sprayed Pledge & pointed. They said "Moe wass" {More wash}Then they decided to clean their room.
Notice Logan's 2 "bum"s had to come along with him to clean. {"Bum"= vroom=car}
We paid the bills. {Junk mail, crayons & $1 stickers bought me 45 peaceful minutes!}We ate enough toast this week, we decided we to needed to make a new spice shaker.
We (just for fun) practiced wearing underwear. For a few hours in the evening. With no accidents. Hayden peed in the potty as soon as his came off. Then we took a bath. And went to bed. All was well.
Day 7..... back to work & daycare....
Let me start by saying, I'm so glad I took Tuesday off for myself to clean & rest. I feel almost back to normal. But I digress....
10am: Phone call from daycare "Just calling to give you a heads up, Hayden has had 2 very, very loose stools today & per our policy, if he has one more, he has to go home sick." Are you kidding me??!! Diarrhea... now??!!
I jumped everytime the phone rang all day... but we made it through.
Until 3:45pm: Jeff called me from our driveway. 1 dad. Car full of the grocery essentials. 3 kids. And a backseat full of Hayden's puke. Yep puke. More! {Insert string of 4 letter words here.....}
4pm: Call from me (still at work) to the nurse at our pediatrician. Me: "What the heck is going on?!?" Nurse: "Yeah, I'm going to have to talk to the Dr. for sure about this one & call you back." Since I was busy saving lives, I missed her return call but she wanted me to call her in the morning. So we'll see what he thinks....
I had a fellow nurse tell me today that one of her children gets very lactose sensitive following the GI flu. We have been limiting milk pretty hard core at our house {do you know what milk puke smells like?} And I'm pretty sure thats all they drink at daycare. So maybe thats it?? But whats with the diarrhea now? The kids had strangely escaped that thus far. That came out of left field. I'm so baffled by this whole experience.
So yet another day is subject to this GI monster that has engulfed our home. We'll shall see what tomorrow brings!! Cheers!
